The Takealot Group, South Africa’s leading online retail and delivery organisation, is offering an exciting Operations Internship in Cape Town. This 12-month programme provides exposure across all businesses within the Group, including takealot.com, TFS, and Mr D. It is designed for ambitious, hardworking, and creative individuals eager to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced e-commerce environment. Interns will play a key role in supporting operational processes, ensuring seamless execution of programmes, and collaborating across teams to drive improvements. With mentorship, technical training, and daily exposure to industry leaders, this internship offers a unique opportunity to develop both technical and soft skills while contributing to one of Africa’s most dynamic companies.

Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive operational and administrative support to ensure seamless execution of the Personal Shopper Programme
Monitor daily operations, proactively identify bottlenecks, and drive improvements in processes, documentation, and knowledge sharing
Prepare and maintain accurate records in spreadsheets and internal tools, ensuring data integrity
Compile, analyse, and report on operational and performance data using Excel, Google Sheets, Looker, and optionally Salesforce
Work cross-functionally to identify and close service or knowledge gaps, elevating both Personal Shopper experience and business results

Qualifications

N6 certificate in Economics
N6 certificate in Business Management
N6 certificate in Project Management
Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets including vlookups, pivots, and data validation
Proficiency in Google Workspace
Effective time-management and organizational skills
Proactive, hands-on, and able to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
